About Me
Hello, I’m Hülya. I studied Communication and Design at Bilkent University, where I split my time between a design studio and a darkroom; print developing and analog photography were as much a part of my process as digital design. That mix has stuck: I move between lens-based storytelling and structured design thinking.
Right now, I'm expanding that creative practice into physical prototyping by studying computer programming in an associate’s degree and teaching myself Arduino and basic electronics, because I want to build things that respond, not just things that are looked at. I'm interested in where storytelling stops being passive: installations, interactive objects, documentary work that puts the audience inside the story rather than in front of it.
When I'm not working, I like being outdoors — climbing, travelling, photographing places outside. I am greatly inspired by nature.
